Crayfish Eradication Teacher Workshop Registration

Join the Arizona Game and Fish Department as we work to restore the vital riparian ecosystems of the state.

In this FREE one-day workshop you will:

  • see first-hand the destruction that these non-native species can cause to an ecosystem.
  • assist with crayfish eradication efforts in a local waterway.
  • participate in an old-fashioned crayfish boil (if conditions and supply permit).
  • receive a lesson to bring back to your classroom immediately (Note: lessons were originally created to supplement the FOSS Structures of Life kit for 4th grade but are easily adaptable for all grade levels).
  • Receive a certificate for continuing education.

Workshops are currently scheduled for the following areas:

  • Tucson, May 10, 2008

For more information, contact Sharon Voiland at 623-236-7220.
