The Arizona Game and Fish Commission establishes policy for the management, preservation and harvest of wildlife, and makes rules and regulations for managing, conserving and protecting wildlife and fisheries resources, as well as for safe and regulated watercraft and off-highway vehicle operations.
 
 
Jennifer L. Martin, Chair - Phoenix
Jennifer Martin of Phoenix operates a technical writing business, and is experienced in the areas of strategic planning, project design and grant writing. She grew up in the foothills of Superstition Mountain, where she developed a strong interest in nature and wildlife. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northern Arizona University and worked as a biologist in a variety of roles, which included coordination of a statewide bird conservation initiative and administration of a granting program for the Arizona Game and Fish Department. Her other interests include music composition and performance, hiking, wildlife viewing, and reading, all of which are shared with her young son. Contact Me
 
Robert R. Woodhouse, Member - Roll
Robert R. Woodhouse

Robert “Robbie” Woodhouse is from the Wellton-Mohawk Valley town of Roll near Yuma. Woodhouse is a third-generation Arizonan and farmer. He is the owner of Casa de Lena Farms and president of the Woodhouse & Son Inc. Trucking Company.
A lifelong sportsman, Woodhouse is a member of the Yuma Rod and Gun Club, is a life member of the National Rifle Association, and also belongs to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Arizona Deer Association and Safari Club International. For more than two decades, he served on two different school boards. Woodhouse has also served as a board member of the Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation District, and the Yuma County Farm Bureau, and is the current president of the Growers Mohawk Gin Board. He also belongs to the Arizona Cotton Growers, Western Growers Association, Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association and the Arizona Crop Improvement Association. Norman W. Freeman , Member - Chino Valley
Norm Freeman of Chino Valley brings a diverse background to the commission, with experience in business, technology development, broadcast and land use issues. He is the founder of Elemental Technology, a firm that developed wildlife tracking software for wildlife biologists and regulatory bodies. In 1994, he founded “Wildflight,” a privately funded operation to relocate wildlife using corporate or private aircraft. He has been extensively involved with the California Condor Recovery Team. His technology experience includes the development of telemetry and control systems for high-efficiency irrigation and municipal water systems, and the development of software and tracking technology for loyalty-building marketing programs for professional sports teams. He grew up in the family radio business and worked in television as a director and engineer. He serves as a board member of the Chino Valley Irrigation District, is a member of the board of directors of the Yavapai County Farm Bureau, is a former vice chair of the Chino Valley Planning and Zoning Commission, and is a member of the NRA. Jack F. Husted , Member - Springerville
Jack Husted of Springerville was confirmed as a member of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission by the Arizona Senate on Thursday, April 16, 2009 following appointment by Governor Jan Brewer. He has a broad background in both the public and private sectors. He has experience and expertise in local government and law enforcement, having served as a Deputy County Sheriff in Pima County, as a Reserve Game Ranger for the Arizona Game and Fish Department, and as a Town Councilman for the Town of Eagar. Beyond his public service, he is a successful small business owner. Throughout his adult life, Mr. Husted has been very active in his community. He has served on several boards, including the Northern Arizona Council of Governments, the Arizona State Transportation Board, and the Springerville-Eagar Chamber. He also offers his time as a Deacon/Elder of the Community Presbyterian Church in Springerville. A third-generation Arizonan and lifelong hunter and sportsman, Mr. Husted is affiliated with several wildlife organizations. His family also has long-standing ties to ranching in the State of Arizona. Mr. Husted resides in Springerville with his wife and has two grown children. Contact Me.
 
John W. Harris , Member - Tucson
John W. Harris John W. Harris of Tucson was confirmed as a member of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission by the Arizona Senate on Feb. 16, 2010 following appointment by Governor Jan Brewer. He is a 35-year law enforcement veteran, starting with the Tucson Police Department where he retired in 1993 after achieving the rank of assistant police chief and then serving as a police chief for two years in Pleasant Hill, Mo., for eight years in Springfield, Ill., three years in Evanston, Wyo., and is currently serving as police chief of Sahuarita, Ariz. While working for the Tucson Police Department, Harris volunteered as a Game Ranger for the Arizona Game and Fish department for 10 years. Upon his return to Arizona in 2006, Harris was reinstated as a reserve game ranger and continues to serves in that capacity in southern Arizona. Wildlife and wildlife issues have been a lifelong passion for Harris. He has been very active in the conservation field and is a life member of the National Rifle Association, the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society, the Wild Sheep Foundation, the Grand Slam Club, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He is a member of the Arizona Antelope Society, the Safari Club International Arizona chapter, and the Mule Deer Foundation. Harris said he has had phenomenal opportunities during his lifetime to experience the outdoors and participate in wildlife-related recreation. “My goal now is to ensure that my 22-year-old daughter and her children are also able to have such experiences.” Harris holds a Master of Arts degree in criminal justice from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in public administration.
