Commission Meeting Schedule

The Arizona Game and Fish Commission routinely conducts public meetings as authorized by Arizona Revised Statute, Title 17-201.D. Background materials provided to commission members concerning public agenda items are available for public inspection at any Arizona Game and Fish Department office, and at commission meetings. During public meetings, the commission will afford any person, their duly authorized representative, or both, the opportunity to present statements relating to agenda items. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, or any document in an alternative format, by contacting the AGFD Director's Office, 5000 W. Carefree Highway Phoenix, AZ 85086-5000 or by phone at 602-942-3000. Requests should be made as early as possible to allow time to arrange the accommodation.

NEW - In an effort to reduce costs in the current economic climate, the Arizona Game and Fish Commission has decided to hold all of its regularly scheduled public meetings in 2009 at the Game and Fish Department headquarters in Phoenix. The decision, made at the Dec. 6 meeting in Casa Grande, comes in the midst of a state budget deficit that has the agency taking a variety of measures to reduce costs. Game and Fish Department officials estimate the cost savings of this measure will be approximately $30,000 in site rental, travel and related costs.

NEW - The public is invited and encouraged to attend commission meetings at the Phoenix headquarters or view the meeting via a videoconference feed at any of the department’s regional offices. The department successfully initiated a pilot videoconference program in February 2009 and has improved and expanded the system so that the videoconference feed will go to all six regional office locations in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson and Mesa. Those viewing the meeting at the regional offices will be able to submit “blue slips” to present oral comment on the “call for comment” portions of the agenda, just as if they were attending the meeting in person.
