Posted January 22, 2018
PINETOP, Ariz — The Arizona Game and Fish Department is partnering with the White Mountain Nature Center to present its annual bald eagle natural history workshop at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The program will be held at the White Mountain Nature Center and will consist of a classroom presentation and discussion of bald eagle life history, behavior patterns and their current population status in Arizona and North America. Liberty Wildlife will describe their work with eagles and will have a live eagle on hand to allow participants to see one up close.
The presentation will be followed by an optional trip to Lazy Oaks Resort to observe eagle behavior firsthand, weather permitting. Participants are advised to dress appropriately for weather conditions for that day and to bring a set of binoculars or spotting scope for improved observation if they have them.
Please call the Arizona Game and Fish Pinetop office at (928) 532-3680 if you have any questions. The White Mountain Nature Center is located at 425 South Woodland Road, Lakeside (south on Woodland Road off of Highway 260). A $5 donation is suggested for adults, which will be shared between the White Mountain Nature Center and Liberty Wildlife.
