Posted February 14, 2020
The City of Chandler and Arizona Game and Fish Department are hosting a Family Fishing Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Veterans Oasis Park, 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road. The fishing event runs from 8 a.m. to noon.
The AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Program and Certified Angler (volunteer) instructors will be on-hand to provide instruction, tips and techniques on fishing, rods and reels to loan (or you may bring your own), and free bait while supplies last.
Please note that a current Arizona fishing license is required for anyone 10 years and older to participate. Youth licenses (ages 10-17) are only $5. Adult licenses are $37 for residents, or $24 for an adult license to fish Community Fishing Program waters only. Still need a license for tomorrow’s event? You can purchase yours online at https://www.azgfd.com/license/.
Attendees have a chance to receive a free youth license and/or adult Community Fishing license, being donated by City of Chandler Parks and Rec. Department, but come early as quantities are very limited and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information please contact the Sport Fishing Education Program at (623) 236-7240.
Get the family together, come on out, and we’ll see you there!
