What: Family Fishing Day

When: Saturday, October 20, 2018 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Where: Encanto Park (NW side of the lake) 2605 N. 15th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85007

Comments: Please join the AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Program and City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation for a morning of family fishing fun! The Arizona Game and Fish Department will be providing loaner rods and bait for this event (or you may bring your own). Bring your family out to enjoy free fishing and instruction from AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Staff and volunteers. The event is open to all ages. The fishing event will occur at NW end of the lake. Fishing licenses are not required, during the planned hours of the event, for those who register at the Game & Fish Booth. What: Family Fishing Fun at Pena Blanca Lake

When: Saturday, November 3, 2018 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Where: Pena Blanca Lake Off of SR 289 Nogales, AZ 85648

Comments: Please join AZGFD staff and volunteers, Santa Cruz County Supervisor Rudy Molera, and the Coronado National Forest-Nogales Ranger District for a morning of family fishing fun. The Arizona Game and Fish Department will be providing loaner rods and bait for this event (or you may bring your own). Bring your family out to enjoy free fishing and instruction from AZGFD Sport Fishing Education staff and volunteer instructors. The event is open to all ages. Fishing licenses are not required, during the planned hours of the event, for those who register at the Game & Fish booth. What: Go Fish! Family Fishing Event at Power Ranch (formerly Breakfast and Bobbers Event)

When: Saturday, November 10, 2018 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Where: Power Ranch Lake House 4444 E Haven Crest Dr. Gilbert, AZ 85297

Comments: The Arizona Game and Fish Department and Power Ranch HOA is Planning a morning of free fishing for the whole family at Power Ranch. Normally, open only to residents of Power Ranch, this specific event is open to the whole public. This is a catch-and-release only event. The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Sport Fishing Education Program and volunteers will be on hand to assist anglers. Bait will be provided and loaner rods are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fishing licenses are not required, during the planned hours of the event, but onsite registration at the Game and Fish booth is required. Where: Desert West Lake 6602 W. Encanto Blvd. Phoenix, AZ 85035

Comments: The AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Program and Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Gallardo, along with partners H.E.C.H.O. (Hispanics Enjoying Camping Hunting and the Outdoors) and the Cartwright School District, will be hosting a morning of family fishing fun at Desert West Park! The Arizona Game and Fish Department will be providing loaner rods and bait for this event (or you may bring your own). Bring your family out to enjoy free fishing and instruction from AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Staff and volunteers. The event is open to all ages. Fishing licenses are not required, during the planned hours of the event, for those who register at the Game & Fish Booth. What: Dads: Bring Your Daughter Fishing Day!

When: Saturday, December 1, 2018 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Where: Sahuarita Lake 15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. Sahuarita, AZ 85629

Comments: Calling all Dads! Grab your daughters and join the Arizona Game and Fish Department for a morning of family fishing fun. Even if you are new to fishing, AZGFD still encourages you to come on out for this event. AZGFD will be providing loaner rods and bait for this event (or you may bring your own). By the way, this event is family-friendly, so all family members are welcome to attend. So, bring your family out to enjoy free fishing and instruction from AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Staff and volunteers. The event is open to all ages. Fishing licenses are not required, during the planned hours of the event, for those who register at the Game & Fish Booth. What: Youth Fishing Festival

When: Saturday, December 8, 2018 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Where: Freestone Pond 1045 E. Juniper Ave. Gilbert, AZ. 85234

Comments: This family event is co-sponsored by the Town of Gilbert and the Arizona Game and Fish Department. AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Program staff and volunteer instructors will be on hand to provide loaner rods for the first 100 participants who don’t have their own rod, as well as bait, fishing information and instruction. Come on out and bring the whole family. The event is open to all ages. Fishing licenses are not required, during the planned hours of the event, for those who register at the Game & Fish Booth.
