Oct. 21. – North Tempe Neighborhood Association and G.A.I.N. event, Evelyn Hallman Pond, Evelyn Halman Park, 1900 N. College Ave., Tempe, 2-6 p.m.
Oct. 21 — FREE 30th Annual Catfish Rodeo & 8th Annual Nature Fair in Yuma, 7 – 10:30 a.m.: Catfish Rodeo, West Wetlands Park; ages 13 and younger with a parent (after 10:30am – Ages 10 and older must have a fishing license)

Comments: The Optimist Club of Yuma host the 30th Annual Catfish Rodeo! Youth will take a chance at catching one of ten tagged catfish for prizes. Kids will receive a free hot dog, drink and raffle ticket. While the Catfish Rodeo is going on for the youth, everyone is invited to take part in the Nature Fair. Kids will be able to shoot a bow, learn about gun safety, and see animals that live in our Desert environment. Participants should bring their own bait and fishing gear. Other partners for this event are U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Bureau of Land Management, and the City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department.
Nov. 4 – Greenfield Pond Grand Opening event, Mesa, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 4105 E. Diamond Ave., Mesa.
Nov. 18 – Eldorado Park Annual Fishing Derby. 8 a.m.-noon, includes raffle prizes, Eldorado Park, 2311 N. Miller Rd., Scottsdale, Scottsdale.
Nov. 21 — Welcome back the Trout to Tempe Town Lake, 4-6 p. at the SRP Tempe Town Lake Marina. Families and community members are invited to come down and watch as thousands of rainbow trout from the Department’s Page Springs Hatchery are released into Town Lake.
