Horse Fire information – Prescott National Forest

Hunters and other outdoor recreationists are advised that the Prescott National Forest’s temporary closure around the Horse Fire currently affects roughly 30% of the southern portion of Game Management Unit 20A and a very small portion of northern GMU 20B. There is a deer hunt in 20A that runs from Oct. 23-Nov. 1. The fire closure should not impact hunters, who will be in the northern portion of the unit.
