New online tool allows hunters to quickly find Customer ID number

PHOENIX — The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has created a new online tool that should be a real timesaver for customers who can’t seem to find their Customer ID number when they need it the most — while filling out an application for a hunt permit-tag.

The “Customer ID Retrieval Tool” allows hopeful hunters to look up that all-important number on their own without having to pick up the phone and request assistance from an AZGFD customer service representative, which can slow down the application process.  

It’s easy to use this new feature. After entering the draw, click the button labeled “Customer ID Retrieval Tool” when adding an existing or new customer, and simply fill in the required fields (last name, date of birth, and email address that was provided when the account was created). If the account is located, AZGFD will send the Customer ID number to that email address.

For those who have yet to apply for a hunt permit-tag through the 2022 spring draw — which closes Oct. 12 — give it a try. If a customer does not receive an email with their Customer ID number, AZGFD advises checking the spam folder, then calling 602-942-3000 (select option 7) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
