Poaching activity includes illegally taking game or fish, trespassing, littering, theft, or destroying property.
Poachers are thieves that are stealing Arizona’s most precious natural resource- WILDLIFE! Poaching interferes with the ability to manage wildlife and wildlife habitat effectively, it negatively impacts the ability to enjoy the outdoors, and reduces opportunities to hunt and fish in Arizona.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Operation Game Thief is an anti-poaching program that encourages the public to report any suspicious activity or knowledge about a poaching violation. A toll-free hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-800 352-0700, or the information can be reported at www.azgfd.gov/ogt_form.shtml, preferably in detail; however, all fields are optional.
Your report can remain CONFIDENTIAL upon request, and REWARDS of up to $8,000 are available for information leading to an arrest.
Your help in reducing poaching in Arizona is appreciated.
