Snuffed Boundary Fire leads to temporary closure of Kendrick Mountain area

Hunters encouraged to check for potential hunt impacts
As a result of a wildfire from this summer there is a temporary area closure surrounding and including Kendrick Mountain within Game Management Unit (GMU) 7W. The closure is in effect to ensure public safety due to the danger of flash flooding caused by above normal monsoonal precipitation on the burned area. Officials from the U.S. Forest Service and the Arizona Game and Fish Department are working jointly to alert the hunters of the Boundary Fire Closure (Order Number: 04-17-22-F).
Hunters are encouraged to check with any of the following agency offices to get the latest information regarding the closure and current conditions as their hunt approaches.
