Time change for Oct. 20 Encanto Park family fishing event

Please note that the hours for the Family Fishing Day event scheduled at Encanto Park in Phoenix for this Saturday, Oct. 20, have changed – the event will now run from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. (It was originally scheduled to run from 8 a.m. until noon).

Join the AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Program and City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation for a morning of family fishing fun! The Arizona Game and Fish Department will provide loaner rods and bait for this event, or you may bring your own. Bring your family out to enjoy free fishing and instruction from AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Staff and volunteers.

The event is open to all ages. The fishing event will occur at the northwest end of the lake. Fishing licenses are not required during the planned hours of the event, for those who register at the Game & Fish Booth. Encanto Park is located at 2605 N. 15th Ave in Phoenix.
