PINETOP, Ariz. — The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) and the city of Show Low are partnering to complete an improvement project on the department-owned boat ramp at Show Low Lake.

The project is expected to take from Aug. 21 through Oct. 6. to complete. For the safety of the public and to allow crews to finish work as quickly as possible, the boat ramp will be closed from Monday to Friday of each week for the duration of the project. AZGFD asks that members of the public please refrain from accessing the work area until construction is complete.

The public will still have use of the boat ramp on weekends. In addition, access to Show Low Lake outside of the project area will remain open during the entire duration of the project.

The purpose of the boat ramp improvement project at Show Low Lake is to bring the boat ramp into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This project has been needed for many years, but implementation is finally underway this year due to a secured funding source and an offer from the city of Show Low to run the project.

Although there will be a short-term inconvenience for the users of Show Low Lake, completion of the boat ramp improvements will allow all members of the public to access this important recreation spot into the future.
