The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is conducting a study to better understand hunters’ participation and preferences for big game hunting in Arizona. Hunters do not have to be an Arizona resident to participate — AZGFD would like to hear from hunters who have recently applied to hunt in Arizona, including nonresidents. Even if you did not go hunting in Arizona in the past year, your input will still be helpful.

AZGFD has contracted with Responsive Management, a research firm specializing in natural resource and outdoor recreation issues, to conduct the survey. Responsive Management will be contacting hunters by phone, text and email to participate in the survey. Phone calls and texts will be from a 520 Arizona area code phone number.

The survey will be conducted through early March. Hunters who receive a call, text or email from Responsive Management are encouraged to participate in the survey. Again, the information provided for this study is important to the department.

Hunters with questions about the study can contact Amanda Center with Responsive Management at amandacenter@responsivemanagement.com. For additional questions about the study, please contact AZGFD Big Game Program Supervisor Erin Butler at ebutler@azgfd.gov.
