PHOENIX – Wildlife for Tomorrow is now accepting nominations for the 28th Annual Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame.
Established in 1998 through a partnership between Wildlife for Tomorrow and the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), the Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame honors individuals and organizations that have made significant and lasting contributions to wildlife conservation, natural resource preservation, and the promotion of Arizona’s outdoor heritage.

This year’s inductees will be celebrated at the annual Outdoor Hall of Fame Induction Banquet this summer. The banquet will be held on Aug. 22, 2026 at The Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
Nominees will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Significant Contribution – Remarkable and enduring contributions to Arizona wildlife conservation, natural resource preservation, or outdoor heritage
- Impact – Substantial and positive influence on conservation efforts in Arizona over time
- Dedication – Demonstrated commitment to conserving Arizona’s wildlife and natural resources
- Innovation – Innovative approaches or methods in conservation or outdoor heritage preservation
- Leadership – Leadership in advancing the protection of Arizona’s wildlife, environment, or outdoor heritage
- Community Involvement – Outreach, engagement, and involvement in conservation or outdoor heritage initiatives
- Legacy – Lasting impact and inspiration to others
- Alignment – Work that aligns with the mission, goals, and objectives of the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the Arizona Game and Fish Commission, and Wildlife for Tomorrow
Notable past inductees include Ben Avery, Barry Goldwater, Morris Udall, John McCain, Bill Quimby, Tom Woods and Steve Hirsch, as well as esteemed organizations like Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Arizona Antelope Foundation, Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club and Audubon Arizona. Wildlife for Tomorrow, established in 1990 as the Foundation for the Conservation of Arizona’s Wildlife, is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the management and protection of Arizona’s fish and wildlife resources.
