NEWS RELEASE

May 26, 2026

PHOENIX — The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is updating the online mandatory harvest reporting, harvest tracking and hunter questionnaire experience.

As of May 31, 2026 the mandatory harvest reporting call center will close and the 1-800 numbers will no longer work.

Hunters who harvest a mountain lion, black bear or over-the-counter archery deer, should visit https://www.azgfd.com/harvestreports to complete their 48-hour mandatory harvest reporting. Make sure to bookmark this page — it’s the new AZGFD hub for harvest reporting, harvest tracking and hunter questionnaires. It will also soon link hunters to a new, streamlined harvest tracking tool.

Checking out a black bear or mountain lion in person is still an option, and hunters who do so within 48 hours of harvest have fulfilled their reporting requirements and no further reporting is necessary.

Hunters can call AZGFD Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 602-942-3000 or visit any regional office for help with mandatory harvest reporting.

Review the current Arizona Hunting Regulations for more information.
