Just for Educators: Citizen Science Case Study – Bats in AZ

Join the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Focus Wild Arizona educators for a free webinar highlighting the role of citizen and community science in wildlife conservation. In recognition of Citizen Science Month, this session will showcase how volunteers support the department’s mission to conserve Arizona’s diverse wildlife resources, and Angie McIntire, the department’s bat biologist, will discuss a recent project in which volunteer observations helped identify a new bat species in Arizona. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how citizen science makes a real impact.

The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes. Upon program completion, all participants will receive access to resources and a professional development certificate.
