Just for Educators: Citizen Science Case Study – Land Snails in AZ
Join the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Focus Wild Arizona educators for a FREE webinar highlighting the role of citizen and community science in wildlife conservation. In recognition of Citizen Science Month, this session will showcase how volunteers support the department’s mission to conserve Arizona’s diverse wildlife resources, and Jeff Sorensen, the department’s invertebrates program manager, will discuss the Land Snails of Arizona project, which engages hikers and other outdoor recreationists in submitting snail observations to help biologists better understand desert snail populations.
The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes. Upon program completion, all participants will receive access to resources and a professional development certificate.
