Auto-renewal for Hunting & Fishing Licenses

The Arizona Game and Fish Department offers the ability for hunting and fishing license holders to enroll in a process that automatically renews licenses upon expiration.

3 things to know

Auto-renewal is available for the following licenses:

  • Resident Hunt
  • Resident Fish
  • Resident Hunt/Fish Combo
  • Resident Youth Hunt/Fish Combo
  • Nonresident Fish
  • Nonresident Hunt/Fish Combo
  • Nonresident Youth Hunt/Fish Combo
  • Purple Heart License (after initial qualification)

Customers must have an AZGFD portal account to enroll in license auto-renewal. If you need help accessing an existing portal account, please do not create a new one and contact customer service at customer@azgfd.gov

Any credit/debit card added for license auto-renewal enrollment will not be used automatically during the draw application process or for any other AZGFD purchases.

Answers to Your Renewal Process Questions

I want to enroll in license auto-renewal

  1. Purchase a license if you do not have an existing, valid license.
  2. Log in to your portal account and click on “View Details” in the “My AZGFD Dashboard” box.
  3. On your Dashboard click “View All Licenses” in the “Licenses” box.
  4. “My Licenses” shows all of your license purchases, with licenses eligible for auto renewal followed by an “Add” button. Select “Add” to enroll the license in auto-renewal.
  5. Next you will confirm by clicking “Yes” that you give AZGFD authorization to charge your credit/debit card for the purpose of automatically renewing your hunting, fishing or combo license on its expiration date.
  6. Next click “Add Card.” You will be directed to a secure platform to enter your billing information. Complete all required fields and select “Next.”
  7. On the next screen, “Review Your Order” and confirm your information. The amount shown will be $0.00 because the credit/debit card won’t be charged until the current license’s expiration date at which time it is automatically renewed. Select “Pay” to complete the process.
  8. Click on “Print” to print a copy of the receipt and then click on “Return to Website.”

I want to complete the auto-renewal process

  1. Log in to your portal account and click on “View Details” in the “My AZGFD Dashboard” box.
  2. On your Dashboard click “View All Licenses” in the “Licenses” box.
  3. “My Licenses” shows all of your license purchases, with licenses eligible for auto renewal followed by an “Add” button. Select “Add” to enroll the license in auto-renewal.
  4. Next you will confirm by clicking “Yes” that you give AZGFD authorization to charge your credit/debit card on file for the purpose of automatically renewing your hunting, fishing or combo license on its expiration date.
  5. The process is complete at this point.

I am already enrolled and want to confirm or cancel

  1. Log in to your portal account and click on “View Details” in the “My AZGFD Dashboard” box.
  2. On your Dashboard click “View All Licenses” in the “Licenses” box.
  3. If the button “Remove” exists after any license, auto renewal is enabled for that license. If you are confirming enrollment, there is no additional action required. If you’d like to cancel auto-renewal enrollment, click “Remove.”

I want to update the credit/ debit card on file

  1. Log in to your portal account and click on “View Details” in the “Manage Your Account” box.
  2. On the next screen, click “Manage Card on File” and follow the prompts to update billing or credit/debit card information.
