Where are you located?

Ben Avery Shooting Facility is located on the northwest corner of I-17 and Carefree Highway SR-74.

Do you close during inclement weather?

We are subject to inclement weather. In cases of high wind, lightning or any other weather condition that range personnel deem unsafe, the range will be closed until conditions improve. We do not offer rain checks or refunds.

I just bought a new gun but have never shot before. Can someone there teach me?

While range personnel may offer shooting advice if asked, we do not have instructors on site and cannot provide this service. A variety of private instructors offer classes at the range.

Something is wrong with my gun and it will not shoot. Can someone there fix it for me?

We do not offer gunsmithing services. Most local gun shops can help. If your firearm is unsafe, you must case it immediately.

I have some old ammunition that I do not plan on using. Can I take it to the range for disposal?

We do not offer disposal of old or unwanted ammunition at this time.

Where do I check in for archery?

The Clay Target Center manages the archery ranges, so you should check in there. For inquiries about the archery range, call 623-484-8119.
