What Is a Bird?
In this activity, students will read a short passage about birds, then use that knowledge to differentiate between other animal species.
By completing this lesson, your students will be able to:
- Obtain and evaluate information from a nonfiction text about birds.
- List the common characteristics of birds.
- Use their knowledge to differentiate birds from other animals such as mammals, fish and reptiles.
